Port Documentation Officer

Job Summary

The Port Documentation Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating all documentation related to truck movements at the port to ensure seamless gate-in and gate-out processes. This role ensures accurate record-keeping, timely preparation and verification of critical shipping documents (including Equipment Interchange Receipts [EIRs] and waybills), and effective communication between Operations, Finance, and Export teams. The position is pivotal in maintaining compliance with Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) regulations and terminal requirements, while supporting efficient logistics workflows and financial reconciliation processes.

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.	Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); familiarity with port community systems (e.g., PortNet, NXP) is an advantage.	Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in port operations, freight documentation, or logistics coordination, preferably within Nigerian ports (e.g., Apapa, Tin Can).

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in digital record-keeping and data entry.	High attention to detail and accuracy. Proactive problem-solving mindset.
