Graphics Designer

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visual concepts, developing branding materials, and ensuring the consistency of our corporate identity across all platforms. You will collaborate with the communications and marketing teams to design digital and print materials that communicate our brand’s message clearly and compellingly.

Job Details

Core Responsibilities and Key Result Areas

Design and Concept Development:
- Create visually compelling designs for both digital and print media, including social media graphics, newsletters, presentations, brochures, reports, and infographics.
- Collaborate with the Communications Manager and content creators to develop creative concepts that align with the brand’s messaging and objectives.
- Work closely with communications teams to ensure a consistent visual identity across all platforms.
Brand Identity and Consistency:
- Ensure brand guidelines are adhered to in all creative output and maintain consistency in the look and feel of the company’s branding.
- Support in the development and refinement of brand assets, including logos, templates, and other visual elements.
Digital and Social Media Design:
- Design engaging content for digital and social media platforms, such as banners, posts, stories, and ads.
- Assist in creating and editing videos, animations, and motion graphics for digital campaigns and websites (if applicable).
Website and Email Design:
- Support the Communications Department in designing website layouts, landing pages, and email newsletters.
- Collaborate with web developers to ensure visual consistency across all online platforms.
Creative Strategy:
- Assist in the brainstorming and development of creative marketing and communication campaigns.
- Stay updated with industry trends and recommend new design tools, resources, and technologies to keep the brand innovative and visually engaging.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Liaise with external vendors such as printers or digital agencies when needed, to ensure high-quality print production or digital output.
Visual Content Management:
- Maintain a repository of all visual assets, including photos, graphics, and templates for easy access and use by the team.
- Ensure all design files are organized and accessible to relevant team members.

Requirements

Minimum of HND/B.Sc qualification.
Atleast 5 years proven graphic designing experience.
A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus.

Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
A keen eye for aesthetics and details
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
