Job Summary

• Lead comprehensive Marketing strategies for Edible Oil, Cashew, Cocoa, Sesame, Cassava and other FMCG Food Products, aligning with business objectives and market needs. • Develop and execute marketing campaigns across multiple touchpoints; analyze trends, competition and consumer behavior to identify growth market leadership opportunities for Brands. • Manage creation of communication and creative materials, NPD processes, meaningful partnerships and budget creation and execution. • Identify New market opportunities and develop strategies to increase market share. • Develop and Execute Sales & distribution plans aligning with production capacity. • Manage and drive initiatives that ensures incremental sales and foot traffic into our stores, while maintaining growth in a challenging economic environment • Lead and motivate Team of communications and creative personnel, collectively achieving set targets and fostering development opportunities. • Lead strategy development and clients’ business operations in terms of commercial, communication, route-to-market, product launches, experiential marketing, and activation efforts. • Work with management to create corporate strategies, sustain profitability and a winning company culture. • Drive commercial success by introducing and sustaining entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial mindsets within the organization • Lead Sales & Marketing Department and responsible for restructuring, staffing and organization Growth. • Execute marketing and branding activities for all brand portfolios and the master brand • Develop and execute GTM and RTM strategies and achieve incremental volumes for brands and new products • Plan and execute NPD strategies for all new products • Develop, Execute and Monitor annual strategies for all brands • Developed and drive communications and marketing strategies to attract and retain profitable relationships with trade partners • Create and manage budgets and expenses in line with the organization's annual strategy • Manage day-to-day marketing and communications activities of our brands • Develop and execute communications plans for brands in collaboration with external and internal partners • Manage brand reputation among consumers, staff and business partners • Lead commercial and trade-partner engagement to increase Numeric distribution across key Nigeria Markets • Prepare and execute Sales operational tools to ensure Sales Team engagement with trade effectively, and drive more profitable ventures • Manage and revamp customer care structure, cutting turn-around time and ensure effective resolution system. • Collaborate with PR Team to develop annual PR activities for brands and the organization • Identify and execute initiatives to drive visibility and positive image and reputation of brands • Create, expand and drive digital marketing activities of brands and achieve growth across all digital channels. Ensure the digital platforms reach full potential and beyond. Create digital marketing unit and develop communication strategies across all platforms, for all brands. • Identify visibility and awareness challenges among trade partners and develop strategies to address Gaps. Drive market penetration and delivered incremental sales and off-take for all Products • Develop channel communications strategies to increase and sustain brand visibility in trade. Develop Retail visibility plan & generate growth in sales • Develop, execute and monitor Retail activations and deployment of POS materials

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for Overall Sales & Marketing performances. 

· Responsible for developing, Implementing, and Executing strategic Marketing plans in order to attract potential customers and retain existing ones. 

Role involves managing and leading Team to ensure delivery of the company's marketing strategy across the full marketing mix.

 · Performs Sales duties and lead Sales Teams to achieve sales goals, includes setting Sales goals to Training, Support to achieve goals. 

· Developing and executing strategic marketing plans for your brand 

· Overseeing the management of a marketing team 

· Conducing market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth 

· Collaborating with sales, PR, and product development teams 

· Coordinating marketing projects from start to finish 

· Organizing and managing marketing operations to improve efficiency 

· Managing budget allocation for marketing projects 

 

The Successful Applicant must have Proven Achievements… 

· Proven marketing experience in the FMCG industry within a matrix organization 

· Line management experience is desirable 

· Exceptional communication and organizational skills 

· Demonstrable experience in managing Profit & Loss 

· Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing 

· A strong commercial acumen 

· Excellent understanding of market research techniques, data analysis, and statistics 

Principal Accountabilities

1. Sales Volume

  • Manage assigned region to deliver monthly/yearly value and volume targets
  • Achieve region performance growth 

2. Customer Management 

  • Responsible for primary sales and ensure range selling to distributors Achieve distributor’s performance growth 
  • Establish maintain and expand distributor base 
  • Set monthly targets/objective for distributors and manage them for success 
  • Ensure weekly performance tracking/review of distributors 
  • Manage assigned key accounts 

3. Redistribution & Retail Development 

  • Develop & drive redistribution strategy to ensures Direct push of Distributor’s volume to wholesalers and retailers. 
  • Drive effective coverage of all wholesale and retail outlets. 
  • Monitor, report and develop strategies to counter competitor’s activities in trade. 

4. People Management 

  • Monitor Team performance and drive to achieve targets 
  • Achieve continuous Training and field coaching of Team members 

5. Market Development

Requirements

Educational Qualification: 

MBA in Sales & Marketing, with more than 12-15 Years of work Experience in FMCG/Processed Foods (Sales and Marketing Background) from Nigeria Domestic & Export Markets.
